Joel's death, I think it was very unnecessary. Abby's purpose of wanting him dead simply because he killed her father felt so forced. It felt like it was brought up out of nowhere, with no actual purpose or backbone other than for Joel just to die. Naughty Dog really, I feel, dropped the ball on this.
