I know this post is as old as sin but, I have a 2003 2.5 and i just coded it to lower and raise the *soft* top via the key fob. all power top z4s have the option. it just needs to be activated. you can also set it to raise and lower while driving up to 28km/h or 18.64 mph.
Mar 25, 2018. #1. Drove my Silver Z3 last weekend, gave her a clean and put her cover on. Everything working fine. Took her cover off today, started her up no problem but neither window now works. Had a look at the fuses and they are fine. Put a voltmeter across the fuse and it had power going through it. Z4 Roof issue. I’m new the the forum, so bare with me. Have a 2004 Z4 that has the power roof. The roof raises perfectly, but when lowering, most time after it unlocks, you have to give a little push, then it goes by itself, however slower that it raises.
