He then discussed the models picked. The Volkswagen ID.4 selected is the Pro S, which features an 82 kWh battery pack. The Pro S currently starts at $44,495 with an effective price of $36,995
My 2022 Passat is more quiet than a 2021 octavia. At speed the windnoise is no problem. The engine is also a little more refined sound wise iirc. I'm driving the latest Superb and have been using the latest Octavia as a temp car and yes, Superb is quiter when it comes to external noise.
The Ford is the quickest of the three, and its 1.5-litre, 118bhp diesel engine is also smoother revving and more willing to pick up from low revs than the 1.6-litre diesels in the Skoda and VW.
A used Octavia will probably be more comfortable and refined, but the difference is very minor. Personally I'd go with the Scala, it's way more modern looking both inside and out and it falls under the "new" Skoda line up so it gets all the new technology and design language. But Regarding your question, yes the Scala is based on the MQB A0
My vote goes to Vento DSG. though Rapid is nearly the same car, i just prefer the Vento's styling over Rapid, and the perception that VW service is better than Skoda. Now if Skoda had brought in the new design language as seen on the European Rapid, things would be at par or in favour of the Rapid.
In many ways, the Leon is a slightly less extreme two-wheel drive version of the Golf R. It rides on the same platform, is powered by a slightly less powerful 276hp version of the Golf R’s engine, and shares many more Volkswagen group parts under the skin. Like the Golf R, the Leon 280 is available as an estate.
