The most efficient Hyundai i20 diesel - the 1.1 CRDI Blue Drive - averages 88.3mpg, making it one of the most frugal cars you can buy. You can expect 65-70mpg in normal driving.
Think if it more as a slightly higher-riding i20, and it makes sense. It's easy to drive, there's reasonable space inside (including a bigger boot than the i20's) and the Executive model is very well equipped. However, rivals offer more of an SUV feel and with more practicality, too, while the Bayon's 1.2-litre engine feels underpowered.
